How to Create a Collage Wall on the Cheap

Collage walls are totally on trend right now, and I am here for it. I am a total shutterbug and art fanatic, so this was something I knew I had to do for my room.

I decided to make my collage around my moon shaped mirror. I got my mirror at 5Below for $5, but they have so many other cool wall decor items that you could use like different mirror shapes, cute signs, and initials. For my pictures I wanted to use something that wouldn't damage them and that I could reuse when I move into my dorm next fall, so I stopped into Walmart and picked up some fun-tak, 80 tabs for about $3. Fun-tak is super easy (and fun) to use, won't hurt your walls or your pictures, and is reusable.
I just hung my mirror with a command hook, and next was figuring out pictures. I print out pictures often, so I knew the best place to print was CVS. At CVS, you can order 4x6 prints for pick-up at 33¢ per picture, so I printed 10 pictures for about $4. I knew I also wanted some quote pictures mixed in, so I just went to Pinterest, searched wallpapers, dowloaded, and printed off the ones I liked.
Next, I laid all of my pictures out on my bed to kind of look at what I might want their

arrangement to be. I didn't really have a specific method for this part. I kind of just held up pictures where I thought they might look good, and if I liked it, I stuck it up! I tried to stagger portrait versus landscape oriented pictures, as well as the ones I ordered versus the ones I printed out. The fun-tak was also amazing during this part because if you kept going and didn't like the arrangement of something you can easily take it off and re-stick it somewhere else.
This was definitely the most fun part for me because I just played my music, and got to see everything come together to create something awesome.

Cost Break-Down:
- Crescent mirror (or something like it): $5
- Printing ~10 pictures: $4
- Fun-tak: $3
Total cost: ~$12
