My 5 Must-Haves for Finals

As any college student will tell you, we all have our favorite study spaces, strategies, and comfort items for finals. Finals is the last thing standing between the college student and a long, hopefully relaxing break. To help you make it through this finals season, I've made a list of my finals must-haves!

Stress Ball
I am the type of person that needs a fidget when I'm stressed or nervous. I love having my stress ball during studying and during the finals themselves just as a way to release some nervous energy. I have serious issues, so it took me a long time to find a stress ball that wouldn't break in two days from how much I used it. My favorite stress ball is from yuck-e balls and I will link the one I purchased and another one that looked interesting to me here!
Blue Light Glasses

I got my first pair of blue light glasses when I started getting really bad migraines while doing schoolwork. Especially with most of my textbooks, classes, and assignments being on a computer screen, blue light glasses have been my savior the past few years. They are very popular, and I've found them at Target, Michaels, Wal-Mart and of course on Amazon. My favorite blue glasses by far have been from Anyluv. They're sold at Sears and on Amazon. They come in packs of 2 and 4 and I've linked the 2-pack here.
Beverage of Choice
As many of you probably know already, I am never too far from an iced coffee. During finals I definitely enjoy the extra kick that an iced coffee gives me, but word to the wise try to stick to one or two a day. Any more than that and things can get a little wacky. My other favorite study drinks are orange gatorade and ice-cold water. A hot chocolate is also a good choice during fall semester finals too.

Study Plan
I am a woman who always likes to have a plan especially when it comes to assignments and studying for exams. It makes it much easier to only focus on what you have to do that day, and cross it off the list. Usually the way I make my schedules for finals is to print off either a weekly or monthly calendar and I either find one on the internet or make my own on Word. Once that's printed out, I choose a different color pen for each class and I plan out what work to do each day. I do have an academic planner that I use for the rest of the semester, but during finals I like to have everything separated and written out.
Recovery Time
Finals, especially this year, are extremely stressful. It's extremely important to have time to relax, and recover during studying for finals and of course after finals are over. For me, I like to have a plan about what I'm going to do after finals to relax. My plan usually involves movies, baking, reading, and other fun stuff like that. I also have a tradition that every year after fall semester finals are over I do a Christmas puzzle!
Hope this helps and good luck with finals everyone!
