I have been home for about three weeks now, and with all this new time on my hands combined with not being able to leave the house all that often, I've been able to watch a lot of TV. Since most of you are probably in a similar situation I've decided to make a list of my favorite shows so far!

Disclaimer: I am a true crime fiend, so most of these shows will be in that genre. Sorry not sorry!

1. Forensic Files: there are nine seasons of forensic files on Netflix, and it's just such a classic. If you're looking for something to have on as background noise, binge watch, or learn a little bit about forensics, this show is for you!

2. Self Made: this is a limited series on Netflix that is inspired by the life of Madam CJ Walker, the first self-made African American female millionaire. This show is captivating, emotional, and inspiring. Definitely recommend this to anyone interested in history and/or female empowerment.

3. The First 48: this is another true crime show that is available to stream on Hulu. This show follows detective during the first 48 hours of a murder investigation. This show is filmed in real-time so almost nothing is scripted. I love the realness of the show because of this. This show will also make you crack up, because let's face it–murderers are usually so stupid it's funny.

4. SWAT: SWAT is a fictional series about the LAPD SWAT team, and one of the most notable actors in this show is Shemar Moore who plays Dereck Morgan in Criminal Minds, and already has most of our hearts. This show is exciting, badass, and wholesome. While cheesy at times, it has a good message and exciting action, so it definitely makes the list. You can find this show on Hulu.

5. Nightwatch: okay, so Nighwatch might be one of my favorite shows of all times. It follows first responders in large cities like New Orleans during the night shift, and gives you a front row seat to all the excitement, drama, and yes, the gore. This show is on both Amazon Prime and Hulu, and if you like cop shows then this is definitely for you.

Now that you hopefully have some ideas on what you're watching next, its time to snuggle up with some popcorn and enjoy some relaxing quarantine TV.
